The General Practice of Law
I have focused much of my energy on representing healthcare professionals, representing farming operations, preparing estate plans and special needs trusts, as well as counseling families in matters relating to elder law. However, my practice is much more diverse than that. I have represented clients in a broad range of litigation matters, including uncontested divorces, real estate, contracts, probate, medical malpractice cases, fall injuries and automobile accident cases. However, no one can be expert at everything in the complex legal world we live in. Consequently, in order to offer my clients access to all of the necessary specialties, I have established working relationships with some of the best lawyers in Michigan and Ohio. I can get you to the right people to represent you in more complex medical malpractice cases, injuries from defective products, workers compensation, Social Security benefit entitlement, business dissolutions and more. With this network of resources, I can either directly provide you with the services you need, or get you to someone who can. I never charge for the time necessary to tell a client whether I can handle the case, nor the time and effort necessary to get you to the right people, if I cannot help you myself.
The only thing you need to know about the law is my phone number
I cannot tell you how many times clients have told me their stories and It has become evident that they missed a statute of limitations or some other opportunity to obtain a much better legal result. When I ask them why they did not act sooner, they always say "But I didn't know that was the law." My answer: "You're not supposed to know the law. You're only supposed to know my phone number." I will never charge you for the phone call, and It may be the difference between protecting important rights or losing them. So, if in doubt call me at 517-486-2800 or 419-842-1333.
